A letter from the President
In Ukraine, children with disabilities are placed in orphanages shortly after birth and remain institutionalized for life. Unlike in the United States, where early intervention and therapy services help children to achieve the best possible quality of life, children with special needs in Ukraine face a grim future and a greatly reduced life expectancy. Staff at the orphanages need education, tools, and equipment to provide the early intervention and therapy these children need to learn, grow, and develop.Karen Feathers
